Alfa Romeo 75 2.0 Twin Spark – A FULL Restoration Video Series

Some cars deserve more than a simple repair. They deserve to be understood, preserved, and restored with the same care and craftsmanship that went into building them in the first place. This Alfa Romeo 75 is one of those cars.

We’ll be documenting its complete restoration on our YouTube channel. From the first inspection to the final drive, every major step will be covered in a series of workshop videos that take you behind the scenes of the restoration process. Whether you’re an Alfa Romeo enthusiast, a classic car collector, or simply interested in traditional metalwork and engineering, we hope you’ll enjoy following the journey.

Episode 1 – Tearing it down

Every restoration starts with a story. In the first episode, we introduce the Alfa Romeo 75, explain why we decided to take on the project, and discuss our plans for bringing this iconic sports saloon back to its former glory. It’s the beginning of what promises to be an extensive restoration.

Episode 2 – Rust found and new plans are made

Before any restoration can begin, the condition of the car needs to be fully understood.

In this episode, we take a closer look at the Alfa 75 and assess the work ahead. Like many classics of this era, years of use have left their mark, and careful planning is essential before turning the first spanner.

Episode 3 – Body Repair: Fabricating & Welding New Metal

Bodywork forms the foundation of every successful restoration. For this episode, we visit Autobedrijf Duijzer in Hoornaar, where Martijn Duijzer is carrying out the metal repairs. Together, we inspect the work and take a detailed look at the restoration of the left rear wheel arch. Corroded sections are carefully removed, new repair panels are fabricated by hand, shaped to match the original bodywork, and expertly welded into place.

It is the type of craftsmanship that often disappears beneath primer and paint, yet it is one of the most important stages of any restoration.

The Journey Continues

Future episodes will cover the rebuild of the legendary 2.0-litre Alfa Romeo Twin Spark engine, suspension and braking systems, mechanical refurbishment, reassembly, and, ultimately, the first drive after restoration.

We’ll continue to update this page as new episodes are released, so be sure to check back regularly or subscribe to our YouTube channel to follow the project from start to finish.
