3D-ENGINEERED FRAMES AVAILABLE

We have been working towards this for quite some time now and are ready for the full reveal: we now have completely new frames available for Ducati 750 Sport and Super Sport models. These are completely reverse-engineered using 3D software from original frames and made on our own custom designed and built jig. This way we can be sure that our frames are made to the exact same specifications as the original frames made by Verlicchi in the 1970’s.

Making a frame might sound easier than it actually is. Of course it remains a collection of tubes that are welded together but it is still literally the backbone of any motorcycle. Because of this we need to make sure the original geometry of the bike is exactly the same as intended by the Ducati factory. The engine will have to fit perfectly and the steering head and swingarm fitment have to be perfectly in line. We didn’t stop there as we also have to make sure all original components like bodywork, battery and others fit without any problems.

We started out by making a complete 3D model of an original frame including all the little details. Using this type of software we were able to determine the exact specifications of the 750 GT (1972-73), 750 Sport (1973-74), 750 Super Sport (1974) and 750/900 Super Sport (1975) models. Based on these 3D models we then proceeded to create a complete series of 2D drawings of the individual components and the different (sub-)assemblies for a complete frame.

The biggest challenge came next: how to actually produce a frame and make sure the final product follows the 3D model exactly to the smallest detail? We therefore developed a whole range of tooling to make individual parts for the frame, but also to make the complete frame itself. With all the positions for the tubes, brackets and components incorporated in a single jig, we are able to make sure every single frame we will produce is exactly the same as the original.

The jig, along with a range of additional tooling, is used in-house to build the actual frames. To remain as close to the original as possible, we chose to make the frames in E235 tubing and to MiG weld the complete frame. As an optional extra, we also offer the possibility to have a frame made in thin-walled chrome-molybdenum tubing that will be TiG welded, but more about that later.

With all brackets and supports laser-cut to specifications and the tubes in different diameters bent and cut to length, our specialist welder creates the completed frame.

Further down the line we will also be offering Daspa racing frames in chrome-molybdenum (25CrMo4) tubing that will be TiG welded. We have already exclusively built such a frame to very special (short-stroke) specifications and we like to share some pictures of the details:

A FRAME FOR YOU

We build frames on a client-order basis with a delivery time of 6 to 8 weeks. This way we can also incorporate different options to build the perfect frame for your project. We can supply a bare frame to your desired specifications either in E235 / MiG as stated above.

Also on offer are the now available street frames in chrome-molybdenum tubing and TiG welding as an optional extra over standard E235 tubing and MiG welding. This can be done for an additional price of € 950.

Number stamping of frame and/or homologation numbers is also possible if you have such frame number available and can prove to us that no other frame with this number exists. Additional price for a number stamped in the frame is € 175.

Frames can be painted for you in any colour you like. Mono-colours (black) will be € 750, metallic colours like green or silver will be € 875.

Shipment of the frame will be available to any corner of the world. To discuss available options, please contact us and we’ll let you know the possibilities personally.
